Hi! I’m Andrea I help intermediate and lower-intermediate students who understand Italian but feel shy or insecure when speaking. My lessons are calm, friendly, and practical. We focus mainly on speaking and real-life Italian, with grammar explained simply and only when needed. I believe mistakes are part of learning, so my lessons are a safe space where you can practice without pressure or judgment. If you want to feel more confident speaking Italian, I’d be happy to help you!
My teaching methodology:
In my classes, you can expect a supportive and fun environment where making mistakes is part of learning. I focus on helping you feel confident speaking and understanding the language without pressure. Materials: I like to use a mix of simple texts, videos, songs, and games to keep lessons interesting and connect language to real life. Sometimes I prepare worksheets or conversation prompts but we’ll also spend lots of time just talking and practicing together. (Please consider that we will figure out together what method suits you the best) Activities: We’ll do activities like role-playing everyday situations, storytelling, language games, and listening exercises. I love using interactive activities that help you practice speaking naturally and build your confidence. Evaluations: Instead of formal tests, I prefer informal check-ins to see how you’re feeling and what you want to focus on next. We’ll track progress by celebrating small wins—like being able to introduce yourself, order food, or have a simple conversation.
My teaching background:
I’m a young language learner and helper who loves working with people of all ages, especially beginners who feel nervous about learning a new language. While I’m not a professional teacher, I’ve spent quite my all school years helping students—mostly kids and teenagers—overcome their fear of speaking and build confidence through friendly, supportive conversations and practice. My focus is on making learning enjoyable and stress-free, so everyone feels comfortable trying, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.
My background outside of teaching:
Besides helping with languages, I’m someone who really cares about people and understands how it feels to be nervous when learning something new. I’m patient, encouraging, and always ready to listen. I love creating a friendly and relaxed environment where students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes. Because I’m close in age to many learners, I relate well to their experiences and interests, which helps me connect and make lessons more engaging and relevant.
