Hello! My name is Thomas and I am from North Carolina in the United States. I studied Business at university and received my TEFL and Business English certifications in Cusco, Peru. I am very passionate about language and travel and am ready to help you reach your language goals. As a beginner level Spanish speaker, I have a strong understanding of the common pitfalls and frustrations that come with learning a new language and I would be thrilled to help you become a confident English speaker.

Each of my lessons are catered directly towards the learner and their preferences, with an emphasis on having fun while learning. Videos, articles, images, artwork, etc. are just a few mediums I like to use to spark the student's engagement. I also utilize specialized lesson plans around grammar and sentence structure for those who prefer a more traditional approach. I want students to be comfortable first in order to promote confidence in their speaking abilities. I am certified to teach Business English as well and have an extensive background in Corporate Business and Marketing. Whether you are just looking for someone to talk to and practice your speaking or you are a beginner level speaker hoping to work on fundamentals, I have the tools to help you reach your goals!

I have about 2 years of structured teaching experience online and in the classroom to all level students from beginner to fluent speakers. In Cusco, Peru I taught tourism-focused English courses at an orphanage to locals of all ages. I also have substantial experience teaching Business English to professionals hoping to propel their careers. In my most recent online teaching position I worked with North Korean executives from LG, Samsung and Hyundai on improving their presentations, reports, emails, and conversational English.

I have over 10 years of experience in corporate marketing working for small and large companies across various industries. Most recently I worked for Budweiser as a Brand Manager where I had the opportunity to manage an amazing team of designers, artists, and creators to implement fun and engaging campaigns. I have taught many students whose main priority in learning English is to further their careers so I am always thrilled to leverage my extensive background in business and marketing in the classroom.
