My favourite is making up dialogues with the students based on their news, on what is important for them. Dialogues like that are easier to remember and help you to prepare for actual conversations with your Russians friends and colleagues.

I teach Russian language online one-on-one since 2016. My students are grown up people who study Russian on their own or at university, some students know the basics because Russian is their heritage language. Most my students study with apps or textbooks, but come to a lesson to talk.

Moje pozanauczycielskie "ja":

I've been studying linguistics and math at the university. I organize yearly language festivals in my city St. Petersburg. I own a big community dedicated to languages at VK social network. I also speak Ossetian, a minority language of Russia, that I learned as an adult.
