Bio:
Hey! My name is Steven, I am from a small town in the south of England, but I currently live in Peru, where I have been working for a children's charity. In my lessons, I like to get to know my students as friends, so that I can understand their personal motivations for learning English. I then design relaxed, conversational classes based around the goals and topics that are important and interesting to you. Send me a message, and see you in a class soon!

Moje doświadczenie w nauczaniu:
I began teaching English after living in a house in New Zealand which was full of backpackers from all over the world. This experience showed me just how life-changing it can be to learn a new language. By improving their English, I saw that my housemates were able to make new friends, travel more safely, and find better jobs. When I returned home to England, I decided to take two TEFL courses to improve my teaching skills. These included a 168-hour Level 5 certificate in teaching English as a foreign language, along with an advanced course in teaching English online. Since gaining these qualifications, I have been teaching English online and in person, to both adults and children. I have worked with complete beginners, as well as more advanced students.
Moje pozanauczycielskie "ja":
In 2021 I came to Peru to volunteer for a skateboarding-based children's charity, and I have been living and working here ever since. When I first arrived, I spoke very little Spanish. This experience of learning a new language myself has helped me to shape the way that I now teach English to my students. I understand how embarrassing it can be to talk in a new language, and how frustrating the process can be, especially when we want to express our own thoughts fluidly, or understand what others have to say. Therefore, I always encourage my students to learn at their own pace, be honest about their difficulties, and welcome their mistakes as opportunities to improve their English, step by step.
