Samia Zitouni

I am passionate about language and culture. I teach for around 30 years, first it was French, now Croatian as a foreign language (Since 2016). I have an extensive experience in travel and tourism. Learning a language is more a skill than knowledge. And just like I can't learn the rules of football and then play it - but would have to train - the same is with the language. In my free time I paint, read and with a group of friends go for "long distance walking.

Croatian is not among the easier languages. We start first with couple of lessons of introductory classes. Learning basic expressions and vocabulary. Then we embark on a journey of learning a new language in a structured way that will lead you to fluent communication. I use my personal materials and a range of materials that exist in Craotian to advance your communication skills.

Since university years (early 1990-ies) I have taught French here in Zagreb, Croatia. Always one-on-one and sometimes in Shcools for foreign languages. Since 2016 I teach my mother tongue - Croatian and Croatian culture to foreigners. I have a degree in French and Russian languages and literature, and also in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnography.

Since 2002 I am professionally in travel and tourism. Presenting and interpreting Croatian culture and history, transforming facts into experiences and meaning beccame a real passion.
