Bio:

I am an ESL teacher from South Africa with nearly 25 years of experience in law and business. I live on a game farm in the African bush with my husband and our four dogs. In my free time, I enjoy reading, solving puzzles, and creating digital art. I hold a law degree, a TEFL qualification, and I am also a certified life coach. I teach General, Business, Legal, and Lifestyle English, customizing lessons to meet each student's individual goals.

I have been teaching English as a second language for about two years now. I focus on students who want to learn or improve their General, Business, Legal, or Lifestyle English. I teach English grammar, reading, speaking, vocabulary, and/or writing skills in various fields. Business English: improving interview skills, presentation skills, negotiation skills, HR, IT, project management, and everyday business English, etc., Legal English: legal vocabulary, litigation, commercial and contract law, labor law, copyright law, privacy laws, IT law, support staff, etc. Lifestyle English: primarily for coaches who specialize in Life, Wellness, Health, and Spiritual General English: topics such as daily life, food and dining, travel and transportation, shopping and money, family and relationships, technology and media, environment and nature, and health and lifestyle.

I have been in the legal field for almost 25 years. I started as a paralegal while completing my law studies part-time. I finished my clerkship articles (internship), passed the bar exam, and began practicing as a full-time lawyer. My main areas of expertise include litigation, commercial and contract law, & family law. Additionally, I have experience in criminal law, labor law, copyright law, IT law, and privacy laws. I have hands-on experience in both corporate & private practice. After my legal career, I launched an online business where I help online entrepreneurs in making their websites legally compliant. I also initiated a breeding project for exotic guinea fowl species & birds. Furthermore, I have been involved in the rehabilitation of wild animals and birds. I also completed a course in life coaching. At the end of 2022, I started teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), focusing mainly on helping adults improve their general, business, legal, & lifestyle English skills.
