Hi, I'm Janette, and I was born and raised in Germany! I love to travel, learn about different cultures and enjoy studying languages myself! A couple of years ago, I discovered my passion for teaching, which led me to begin teaching Japanese. Now, I want to share my knowledge and help people of all ages and backgrounds improve their English level! My teaching approach focuses on creating an engaging, interactive and student-centered environment.

Students can look forward to classes that are tailored to their individual needs, goals, and interests. I focus on real-life communication so that what you learn can be used in everyday situations. This helps you sound more natural and you will feel more confident when speaking! I like to do speaking activities, role plays, and listening & reading exercises using real-world materials like videos, articles, and short-clips. I also teach grammar through useful, everyday sentences, making it easier to understand and use. To help with vocabulary, I use pictures and visuals that make new words easier to remember.

I’ve been teaching English since last year and I’m TEFL certified. I also have over two years of experience teaching Japanese online, which I continue to do. I really enjoy working with learners from all over the world and love helping people from different backgrounds reach their language goals!

As a language learner myself I understand how challenging it can be to learn a new language, this experience helps me understand and connect with my students better! I'm here to help and support you on your language journey!
