Bio:
Hi my name is Helgard, I am from South Africa and come from a law background. My motivation for teaching is for my students to have fun and enjoy learning English! The ability to connect with students and work towards a common goal is vital and always the aim. Increasing students' involvement is helpful to challenge students and take them on the journey of learning.

In outreach programsI have taught Law to law students and English to Adults and school children. Always working with goals to improve students confidence and fluency! Improving students conversational skills and teaching students the basic concepts of the English language and improving their language capabilities. The unique element in my teaching is the two-way communication that I develop with my students. In my class, you will see that the students are freely expressing their opinions about a subject and are debating openly. Even the students who are shy or academically weak find it easier to express themselves.

I have a law background making it easy to connect with people and I love meeting new people. My skills are communicating, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy and patience. It has served me well and I am looking forward to share these skills with my students.
