I tailor my classes to my students' needs. I usually do topic based lessons that combine written or oral comprehension exercises with new vocabulary, intersecting level-appropriate grammar concepts, and interactive oral expression and pronunciation.

I tend to focus on pronunciation, listening comprehension, oral expression, grammar, and cultural topics. I like to use articles and videos as platforms to base question/answer conversation. I can also bring worksheets to the session, or give homework if the student wants.

I have taught ESL for 3 school years. I have worked both as an in-class language assistant and as the main English teacher for private language schools and in one-on-one tutor sessions. I specialize in B1 and B2 level classes geared towards adolescents and adults.

I have lived in Europe for several years, most of the time being in Paris. I am currently back home in Olympia, WA waiting for the corona virus pandemic to subside so I can go to a Swiss master's program and study medieval French.
