Hello! I’m Carmen from Austria, teaching German online since the beginning of 2024.
Bio:
Hello! I’m Carmen from Austria and have been teaching German online since 2024. I studied Biology with a focus on Anthropology in Vienna. For almost three years I’ve been living in Korea, so I know how challenging it can be to learn and use a new language in daily life. I love teaching and seeing my students improve, gain confidence, and enjoy speaking German in a safe and supportive environment.
Moja metoda nauczania:
I think I have a good feeling for what a student needs. I will ask questions about the students goals and previous language experiences and try to find the best teaching plan. I often create my exercise sheets by myself or use a book. For speaking on a higher level, I use texts or videos and talk about them in class. * beginners to advanced * daily life situations * talk about various topics (advanced) * business German * prepare for a job interview * material: book "Grammatik Aktiv", videos and articles
Moje doświadczenie w nauczaniu:
I have been teaching German online since January 2024 and have worked with students from different backgrounds and language levels. I have experience teaching Business German as well as preparing doctors for the official German language exam for medical professionals. I also enjoy teaching beginners and helping them build a solid foundation in grammar and communication. Additionally, I have experience working on pronunciation to help students sound more natural and confident when speaking.
Moje pozanauczycielskie "ja":
I studied Biology (Bachelor’s and Master’s degree) at the University of Vienna. During my Master’s studies, I worked at concerts in Vienna, where I often did translation work since many of the bands and managers spoke English, while most local staff did not. For almost three years, I have been living mainly in Seoul, South Korea, where I use German, English, and Korean on a daily basis. In 2025, I registered my own company in Korea, focusing on the German language and culture—a challenging but rewarding experience. In my free time, I like visiting museums and cooking. I also play various instruments, including the flute, saxophone, and guitar. Additionally, I enjoy painting and have participated in several exhibitions in Seoul.
